Allie Grace came to visit!

Allie is always fun to have for a visit. Her twin Caleb is allergic to Colby so he doesn't get to visit as much.
I had one of those " moments " with Allie's visit this weekend. We had to make a quick pit stop at Walmart and while we were in line the man behind me was talking with little Allie...then smiled and said to me , " so Gramma got roped into the weekend for babysitting?" ....You remember you are getting old when.......

When I grow up, I want to be a Vet!

Andrew has a knack for finding stray animals,but this was the most unusual story yet! Andrew and his Dad went back in the woods to set out their deer feeder and what came running out of the woods but four sweet pups. The rescue mission began! I will never understand why people are so cruel to animals...imagine ..they were at least a mile from a main road ...starving and covered in ticks and fleas. Randy found a home for one and the Animal Shelter is coming to get the other three. Andrew is very proud to have been apart of thier rescue and was sure to make up for any care or love they missed while abandoned.

Water Conservation

All local areas have been put on water restriction. This was our attempt at washing the kids, the four wheeler and the jeep! Ha Ha Ha !

Red Neck Shower

Yes, that's a pressure washer. Yes, he was that dirty!
Today the guys took out their new toy .....a four wheeler! It hasn't rained in forever so they came back covered from head to foot in a thick layer of dust. This would be an Alabama version of "takin a shower"

Andie's taken an interest in photography! Lately she has been seen with her camera more often than me!

Well...let's get this party started....BUT WOULD IT END??????? Last time I begged for them to PLEASE GO TO SLEEP! it was 4:30 am! You would be wrong if you thought they slept till noon.......waffles were served before 9:30...they were swimming shortly after noon.

We had a great time having Jeff , Karen and the kids visit! We had a wonderful week. The weather was great!

Today we had a Mom and kid day at lake Chinnibee. It was not too hot so the hike was very comfortable!
The kids went in for a dip at Devils Den.
We had lunch and Andrew tried to land a fish. It was a great way to spend the day!

Sons Of Thunder!

Every year our Church, W.A.I.O. has ride. we were on our way to Canada last year so we missed it. This year we made it.

Just a quick shot of us on the ride. we had a eighty mile ride with about thirty bikes...that's a little long for me.....gettin' old!

This is my pooch....he thinks he is a toy poodle......we have had him more than seven years....can't imagine our family with out this fur ball!

Bed and Breakfast "The Big Beach house".

Nothing but sugar white sand. It was a perfect get away. I cannot think of a better way to have celebrated twenty years!
